Attendees will learn to engage in reflective writing that fosters personal growth and spiritual connection.

TO DATE OR NOT TO DATE
Danielle Augustine, Lisa Appello, & Jack Warren moderated by Rod Brown

This breakout session focuses on the emotional complexities and personal decisions surrounding dating after the loss of a spouse. It explores the internal conflict many widows face when considering whether to enter the dating world again, balancing feelings of loyalty to their late spouse with the desire for companionship or love.

SESSION 2

SESSION 2

NAVIGATING GRIEF WITH YOUNGER CHILDREN (BIRTH-12)
Jordin Early, Nicole Ferguson, Kaitlyn Garcia, & Allison Peters moderated by Hillary Gandy

Navigating grief and loss with small children will offer strategies to help you and your young children cope with grief and loss. Participants will learn how to model healthy emotional expression, establish comforting routines, and support their children’s emotional well-being during times of change.

LEARNING TO TELL YOUR STORY: A POWERFUL TOOL FOR HEALING
Rachel Faulkner Brown, Ginger Gilbert Ravella, & Mattie Jackson Smith

Sharing your story is one of the most powerful tools for healing. Not only for yourself, but for others as well. In this breakout, you will discover the importance of sharing your personal journey of loss in a way that serves you and others.

This session will highlight the healing power of vulnerability… helping participants find peace, purpose, and strength through their narratives. By sharing their stories, widows can feel supported in their spiritual journey, knowing they are not alone, and experience renewal through faith and community.

SAY THIS, NOT THAT
Robin Johnson & Kim Michelle

The Bible says our words are like the rudder of a ship. They have the power to direct the course of our lives and the lives of our families. What we say matters. When you align with God’s words, you are shaping the next season of your life. We have been given authority by God to speak forth His heart and His solutions over our circumstances. We don’t have something just because we say it, but saying it is part of having it. Your world needs your voice.

You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you …” Job 22:28

Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Nehemiah

In this session, you will have the opportunity to identify some of the negative things you are saying and replace them with the truth that God is saying about your future.

FORGIVING FORWARD
Susan Brown

Forgiving Forward is a Gospel-rooted teaching that will help you forgive the people that have wounded you. This method emphasizes that forgiveness is not about excusing harmful behavior but about freeing oneself from the burden of anger and hurt. Simultaneously participants will be equipped with strategies for self forgiveness and others while moving forward.

SESSION 3

SESSION 3

NAVIGATING GRIEF WITH OLDER CHILDREN (13-21)
Jordin Early, Beth Barker, Kristy Chancy Stuler

This breakout will focus the attention to older children while empowering widows with strategies to support adolescents and young adults through grief, emphasizing open communication and active listening and unique ideas from widows in this season.

WHAT’S NEXT?
Navigating Loss After 55

Patty Boden & Lori Bryant

God is not done with your story! This breakout focuses on the unique emotional, social, and practical challenges faced by individuals who have lost their life partner later in life. It explores the grief process, which can differ from other types of loss due to the long-term nature of the relationship. The session also addresses the loneliness and identity shifts that can come with widowhood, as well as the ways people can rebuild their lives, find new sources of support, and discover new purposes.

OVERCOMING FEAR IN YOUR FINANCES
Robin Johnson & Rachel Faulkner Brown

Overcoming Fear in Your Finances focuses on providing both spiritual and practical tools for navigating financial challenges and anxieties that often arise after losing a spouse.

In this breakout, Robin Johnson and Rachel Brown will dive into what the Bible has to say about money… how to manage it, how to share it, and how to keep it from managing you. Let’s flip the script on fear in finances by exploring the biblical truth about money… and the joy of generosity!

INSPIRED WITH INTENTION: A ONE WORD WORKSHOP
Susan Brown

Discover the power of intention as you choose your One Word for the year in this interactive workshop. Through reflection and creativity, you’ll identify a word that captures your focus for the year ahead and hand-stamp it onto a bracelet as a lasting reminder. Walk away with a meaningful keepsake to inspire you every day!
