ABOUT US

Never Alone Widows

ABOUT US

Never Alone Widows is a faith based ministry located in Atlanta, GA that seeks to provide healing, comfort, and community for widows through retreats, a national conference, local chapters across the nation, as well as valuable online resources.

Our yearly retreats target young widows with school-age children still in the home and are typically held in the southeast United States. One retreat per year, our Widows of Heroes retreat, is specific to the needs of the Gold Star and First Responder widow. This retreat is sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation and seeks to meet the unique needs of the widow who has been faced with the untimely death of a spouse due to service and sacrifice.

Our yearly national conference is typically held in February in a U.S. city and is for widows of all ages and stages where we come together with generations of widows seeking healing, hope and community.

Widows who have attended our retreats and/or the national conference are facilitating and launching Never Alone Widows local chapters across the country. Currently we have more than 50 widow-led chapters meeting monthly in 27 states. Our Never Alone Local Chapters have expanded our ministry, allowing us to serve widows who we would be unable to reach otherwise.

We also recognize the need for online resources is greater than ever. Thus we have created a series of downloadable digital resources called How to Widow Well, How to Widow Well 2.0, and How to Widow Well 3.0. Additionally, our team has published a devotional, His Name: Our Hope in Grief and has partnered with Choice Books to publish a 365 day devotional called The Widow’s Might which will be published and distributed nationwide in Spring 2025.

And finally, through our social media platforms, we offer daily inspiration and encouragement to all women.

Since our inception in 2018, Never Alone Widows has provided hope and healing to widows both nationally and internationally. As a ministry, we are always seeking new ways to provide support and services to the widow.

OUR PROCESS

1. Reach

Connect with the widow via word of mouth, social media, or our website.

2. Connect

Based on specific criteria, we identify the resources we offer that best meet the widow’s needs. We encourage her to apply to attend a retreat, the National Conference, or join a Never Alone Widows local chapter in her community.

3. Restore

We offer retreats, conferences, local chapters and online resources that provide inspirational teaching and testimonies, prayer-led encounters with the Triune God, and foster community with other widows who understand the journey. We hope these elements help the widows we serve find purpose in their pain and fully embrace the freedom, rest, and transformative power found in the healing power of Jesus Christ.

4. Support

Once involved with our ministry, additional resources and support are provided through our after care program.

OUR SUPPORTERS

Never Alone is supported by a host of donors who believe with us that Romans 8:28 is still true in light of our personal tragedy and pain. Because of their generosity, not only are our retreats are all inclusive but we are able to provide the resources needed to specifically support the young widow as well as widows from multiple demographics. The Widows of Heroes Retreat is solely supported by a generous grant from The Gary Sinise Foundation.
