 Who We Are

Never Alone Widows began in 2018 as a simple idea to provide community for widows. After our first gathering held in a Georgia suburb, the volunteer team knew that our concept was uniquely special and there was a definite need for more. The planning began, the team grew, and we began hosting retreats across the country.

Currently, we hold three retreats and one national gathering per year. In 2022 we also launched Never Alone Widows Local Chapters – widow-led and facilitated – and currently have more than 60 groups (and growing) meeting monthly throughout the United States.

We provide timely and powerful resources to help widows navigate through their grief. Our first devotional, His Name: Our Hope in Grief, is available to purchase online. Also, over the last three years we have launched three volumes of How to Widow Well, an online series and vidoes and workbooks covering topics that will help the widow navigate the grief journey. With plans to become the largest Christian widows ministry in the country, we are continually seeking new ways to take widows from desperation to destiny through the healing power of Jesus Christ.

We host two different types of retreats for widows.

Our Never Alone retreats are available to widows with school-aged children still in the home. We also offer retreats specifically for military and first responder widows through a partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Never Alone Locals are local groups of women who gather together in communities throughout the US and journey widowhood together.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” Romans 12:15

Never Alone Widows local chapters exist to provide a safe environment where community can be created, healing can occur, and hope can be found.

In His Name, Rachel Faulkner Brown and her Never Alone Widows team share stories, teachings, and encouragement from their own journeys of love, loss, and renewed hope to inspire, equip, and empower widows to find healing and experience the love of the Father in deep community.
